I am from Kansas City, Kansas, but if you were to ask me who I thought had the best BBQ...well I could not tell a lie...but that is my personal opinion.

  I can remember when I was a young boy and would watch as my Grandfather and Dad would tend the amber's of the hand built smoke-pit and would wait patiently as the meat grew more tender as the hours would pass. Once the meat was done, the taste of the charcoal, woodsmoke, and spice would tantalize the taste buds once eaten.  I grew up with the fascination of "pit bbq" and would use spices that I bought from the market however, those spices on the aisles did not bring a taste that was unique enough to wow a crowd!

 I created my own unique blend of herbs and spices carefully and out came a rub that is extremely versatile. Whether you are grilling, searing, roasting, or slow smoking, my "Backyard Blend" will add to the natural taste of your meat and will be the talk of mouths for days.
